Grid for speaking about hobbies in French

(0)
Pupils fill in a hobby/activity they do on different days of the week (can be made up). Don't show partner. Then interview partner to find out what they do, and fill in 2nd column. At end can compare grids to check they understood/assess success in speaking activity.

Match reasons for jobs in French & English

(3)
Disclaimer: adapted from a teacher at my placement school, not entirely my own work. First pupils do card-sort activity - match reasons for jobs in French and English. When they finish, start filling in the grid. As extension or homework - fill in the 3rd column with a job title (in French) that goes with the reason - there is more than one possible answer for this.

Word Loops for GCSE Spanish - AQA Specification Vocab

(0)
These word loops are intended for retrieval practice of vocabulary from the AQA GCSE Specification. They can be used in class for self-quizzing in the following ways: -Have the loop running as the class comes into the room. Students aim to shout out the English meaning of each word before it appears on the board. -Paired competition - in pairs, aim to be quicker than their partner to say the answer. Give a tally to whoever answers correctly each time. -Self-quiz memory challenge - students silently try to recall the English meaning of each word before it appears. If they are correct, give themselves a tally point. Total up at the end. Then repeat and aim for a new personal best. My aim is to have these produced for all units and drop them into lessons throughout the year so students are reminded of language from previous topics.

Edexcel French GCSE - Listening Practice

Edexcel French GCSE - Listening Practice

(11)
Lessons focusing on the different types of Crossover questions (those which appear on both Foundation and Higher papers). There are several key question types which appear each year and try to trick candidates using tenses, negatives, 3rd person etc., as red herrings. These lessons aim to alert pupils to these pitfalls by practising past questions so they can avoid being caught out in their exam. Uses 2010-2013 as we used 2014 for a mock recently. Also included is a "walking talking mock" where pupils had just done the 2014 Higher paper and we went through the whole paper question by question to mark their own and understand mistakes. All exam questions are property of Edexcel. Numbers refer to the time on the recording which you can get from the Edexcel website.

Pupils research online to complete worksheet. Then watch trailer. 2nd lesson = character info match-up starter, then watching the film for a good chunk of the lesson, then true or false quiz.
